The Slight Edge

Do the thing, and you shall have the power
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

— Thomas J. Watson, Sr. (founder of IBM)

  1. Show up
  2. Be Consistent
    1. In baseball, my theory is to strive for consistency, not to worry about the numbers. If you dwell on statistics, you get shortsighted; if you aim for consistency, the numbers will be there at the end.
  3. Have a good attitude
  4. Be Committed for a Long Period of Time
  5. Have Faith and a Burning desire
  6. Be Willing to pay the price
